Cute Tortoise Angie !

Hey Cora Thanks - I was experimenting with the Garden option on GOY and thought I could add this to “Garden” without adding to Photo – never worked – anyway the little tortoise was my late Nana’s my mum tells me it could be worth a few pounds however I don’t believe her - so I put the tortoise with the acer so I could remember her rather than it being stuck in the attic (if that makes sense) – you have me inspired to log all me plants - so hope I will get there eventually

im sure your nana would have wanted you to enjoy seeing the tortoise Angie , rather than tuck it away somewhere to gather dust.

Thanks Eileen - it was one of the 3.99 in lidle ones - coming on a treat - there used to be 2 other baby tortoise's which complete a set - beats me where they have gone !!!

Thats a lovely idea Angie and its colours go well with the Acer. Nan's Tortoise looks like a Wade. They were popular in the 60's-70's. Does anyone remember the Wade Whimsies these were similar but smaller and came in little boxes and were quite collectable?

Hey Wilowisp yes I went and had a look and it is a "Wade" I remember the set appearing in the 70's when I was growing up so you are spot on - don't remember the Whimsies - will do a google to jog my memory

lovely acer will soon get big angie, i repotted mine this year because it was looking weery but its really grown now and looking good

its a shame they loose their leaves in winter though,
