Bless her...can she not fly?

She can, but I found her outside the Chemist Shop where I used to work. She was totally out of it, just picked her up. Phoned the man who owned her, he was in Bradford, I'm in Birmingham and she had been missing for three weeks, so he said to keep her. I fed her up and have tried to let her go 3 times, but she flies straight back into her house, so she is here to stay. She is so very tame, thinks I am her mate. She wouldn't stand much chance outside with all the Crows and Magpies around here. I also have another one who lives in the cage below her, he can't fly, has a broken wing and most of his toes missing from his one foot, I've had him for 5 years now. They both seem very happy where they are.

I think they are too. They would not be so well fed and loved anywhere else I am sure :o)

No...true...to some they will be just a pair of pigeons...not worth the bother !They must feel special !

I know many people hate Pigeons and call them flying rats. But consider what they did during the wars, they are very brave birds and nobody bothers to find out what personalities they have. I think a lot of people would be surprised!

Agree...same with the wood pigeons. We have two pairs currently nesting in the garden. They always have a suspicious look in their eyes and no wonder the way they are blasted out of the sky at every opportunity by some !
