Clematis 'Comtesse de Bouchard'

This is the only Clematis in my gardens that is being eaten .... not the flowers but the leaves and tendrils. Grrrr.
These flowers are smaller than they should be and i'm presuming it's because the plants is under stress.

I can't find any caterpillars, no slug/snail evidence but something's at it :(
