Moving trees in the dark

Mad - completely mad! We had a holiday in February and travelled 65 miles each way to get these white birch trees - could only carry two in the car so went back later in the week to get the third and also a Serrula (Cherry Blossom). They were all very heavy and we had to take them down several steps. They look great and really bring the dark end of the garden to life.

What variety are the birches? They look really good ones - worth the travelling to get good multi-stemed ones I expect.

On the way home with the first load the power steering belt in the car broke - it was like driving a tank!

Hard work indeed but you will be very happy. I'm looking forward to seeing a photo of the trees in place.
