How special and exciting to have had a natural collection Hywel on the seashore all to yourself and nobody did anything to it. Was it a private beach or not frequented often?

The aquarium was in the house. lol. I collected the creatures from the shore and brought them home.

Aw, I gottcha. That can be tricky, did they survive well? I have a friend that have a salt water tank. She buys her creatures from the fish store though : ) Your ways sounds like more fun and a lot less exspensive!

I went to collect the creatures when the tide was very low. I brought sea water home in containers aswell. I don't know if that sort of thing is allowed now. The aquarium lasted for a few years. I used to feed the sea anemonies with bits of chopped up worms. lol. One day the electric pump fell into the tank and everything got electricuted so that was the end of my sea water aquarium :o(

Oh goodness! Death by electricution, yikes. Glad, that you weren't harmed :) That kind of thing is probably not allowed now...just guessing though. Oh well, fun while it lasted :) Take care, Hywel.

I once had an aquarium of sea animals I collected on the shore near here. They're fascinating.
