What is it?

Looks like something has dirted on the sedum..But it is so small, and it's not bird droppings. What did it?

no damage to sedum...but they did nibble away at the few delphinuims I planted about 3 years ago, it was their first year they WERE going to bloom...

Its had a good meal somewhere close by probably a single one quite large and a colour matching what its feeding on.its there somewhere.

yep, the tops of 3 delphiniums, i caught it. it's gone now :)
but there are quite a few around.

Poor little caterpillar. It would have turned into a beautiful butterfly or moth.

I've found things like this in the same plants the aphids like. I'm just removing it all. Mine are a little hard like shells. I've never had bugs like this year and I'm removing anything strange. The ones like this cling to the leaves and are harder to remove.

lolol. I don't know. Could be, or larvae. I say remove them :-)

Once you have found one they become easier to locate,they will often bury themselves once they have had there fill in the soil close by, where they turn into a larvae.
