yes it does Jac, it is actually grown more for its leaf colouring...to be honest i did'nt know it flowers..... so added bonus.

Wow! i bet that was surprise Ang ? Iv heard that some plants which have a nice leaf colour can lose it if aloud to Flower ? is that true ?

??? not herd that one before to be honest Jac, I know that sun and soil type can change colouring, and varigated plants can revert, if you do not cut out any pure green shoots as they appear. Never come across a plant that looses it's colour if it flowers, are you sure not just a co-insidence that it was in the wrong type of soil or lack/too much sun etc... ofcourse it could be true, Persicaria is new to me so i don't know about this one, well i'll soon find out wont i...lol....keep you posted.
