The white ones are very strong this year, but the rest shrunk or disappeared

They Look Fab Rosa :) Iv some Mixed Pacific Giants i purchased this Yr But The Slugs/Snails ate all the tops Off rite down to ground level :( Iv now removed them from My Border into a Pot 2 try& recover them Trace :/

It's so sad losing a plant to those critters..
Luckily we don't get snails on our property because it's too sunny and dry, but we put down some mulch to keep the weeds under control and help to hopefully retain a bit of moisture in the ground. The earwigs are very late to emerge this year (yay!!) but them and the slugs now have more places to hide.
I think all but our white delphiniums are done for at the end of this year and we'll have to invest in new ones in the spring.

Sorry to hear about your delphiniums Jac.
Rosalieg-You know it's very hot and sunny here, but the snails just hide out until the evening, then they feast... unless I find them first ;~)
