I am lucky to be able to enjoy these growing in my own garden, knowing that they are historical roses is a wonderful feeling for me.

I prefere the old roses as they smell devine, it is what I try to buy my son gave me most of mine, which don't smell.

I know what you mean. Rose's that look beautiful, but have no fragrance. I am a very keen fragrance person.

So am I, lol they always say to plant lavender and shrubs with aroma by pathways as when people walk by they brush them, as they walk and set off the aroma.

Hi Faeriflora, I too am a sucker (excuse the pun !) for old fashioned roses. Once I get my nose in there you can't drag me away !!
