Yes it is a gorgeous red! I'll take a photo when it's fully out. The weather wasn't very good for taking photos when i went out the other day and the latest batch are disappointing! Not up to your standard!!
Oh yes - it likes it not too dry but unfussy about position or soil.

i delete a lot more than i keep believe me.
