Lax shrub to eight feet, best grown against a wall or trellis in full sun and given support. In mild winters, it won't stop flowering; in harder ones it will be killed back to ground level, but will reshoot from the roots once established.

Before being dug out I had mine with a oblisk it use to cascade over the rings going up the oblisk.

DD - mine has performed badly over the past few years (it's an old plant) so I bought a replacement and guess what - the original has got its second wind!

That's the original - the replacement was planted next to it but is not so tall yet.
