I moved into this house nearly 4 years ago and it took me 3 to get rid of the stuff, grrrrr.
It was in a totally wrong position and was way too big for the area and i wanted it gone ..... but no ..... it would 'not' disappear.
It was in thin poor soil and baked by the sun and it was in its element there - boo hoo !
It's gone now though :-))))

Richard - interestingly, one gowing in sun-baked clay got mildew but another growing in very dry conditions in shade didn't (although it didn't flower much either)
Louise - yes, it's a tough plant to get rid of
