Acanthus spinosus - 2014

Acanthus spinosus - 2014 (Acanthus spinosus)

Perennial for well-drained soil in full sun. Some people complain it spreads, but I think it is self-sown seedlings adding to the size of the plant; deadhead promptly to avoid this. Once established, if you try to move it, the smallest piece of root will regrow.

Yes got mine out last year and it keeps reappearing which I knew it would, I do like it but wanted a change :/

Yes, silly choice for a small garden. I am now Glyphosate-ing the leaves of the bits I don't want, every 10 days if they reappear. I will win!

You will win eventually Siris. I dug out one out about five years ago, and managed to finally get rid of it the following year.

I do like it, but only in moderation,
