Scots pine & Sitka spruce, fast growing, to take the brunt of the wind, then the less robust, like the acers, behind them.
'Course, that's forestry. Lol.

I'd never seen an acer grown as an ornamental, 'til I joined Goy.
It still seems odd, when I see it. Lol.
Like seeing old photos of your parents odd. It's an alternative to what your used to, but ok.
Does that make sense?

Think of the 1st time you saw a photo of either of your parents, when they were much younger.
It's them, that's undeniable, but it's not the them YOU know!
It shows you a different angle or facet of them.
It's odd, but in an okay way.
