Agapanthus campanulatus

Agapanthus campanulatus (Agapanthus campanulatus)

Agapanthus like to be crowded so I took a medium sized plastic flower put, cut the bottom off it, buried it in the ground and planted the agapanthus bulbs in it. This is the result

My Agapanthus is in a clay pot and I delibaretely haven't repotted it because as you say they like to be crowded. But it only has a few small leaves and few small flower heads. Would you be able to tell me if I should repot it ?

It may just need a good feed? The other alternative is to empty the pot when they are dormant, remove all the compost and put them back in the same pot (or a slightly larger one) with fresh compost

Thanks. I'll try feeding it now and give new compost in the spring. It's been in that pot for several years.
