Small shrub, less than a foot tall, for moist acid soil.

They do like a permanently moist soil (the common name is bog rosemary). Here, it grows in a former vegetable bed, which has lots of humus, but isn't really damp enough for its liking.

I used to have this plant. I thought because deer will not eat my rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) they will leave this one along...but not so. (Maybe it was rabbit I do not know ) As a result I have none. I like it very much. Mine was pink.
