By Andrewr

Arisaema tortuosum - 2014 (Arisaema tortuosum)

Perennial growing from a tuber which will rot in wet winter conditions, so a semi shaded spot with protection from rain and strong winds is needed. Can reach six feet tall.

Cripes! Mine is a tiddler then - it needs to go in the ground. Cold hardy, but intolerant of wet conditions?

Meanie - yes, it's our cold AND wet winters that kill a lot of things. In their native environments, many plants have dry winters, or are covered by snow.
