Astrantia major 'Sunningdale Variegated' - 2010

Astrantia major 'Sunningdale Variegated' - 2010 (Astrantia major 'Alba')

I have found the foliage on this variety is only variegated while young; as it matures, it turns green (the variegated leaves in the photo belong to a neighbouring geranium)

I love Astrantia. This is lovely. I've never seen a variegated one.

I shall be very disappointed if mine does the same, bought it for the variegation.

I'm glad you said that Andrew, I was wondering why my leaves had gone green :-(

Andrew, is this Astrantia as white as it looks in the photo? It's lovely, the one I have fades to the yukiest wishy washy colour. I don't know it's name but last year it was 4ft tall and 3ft wide.

Helenium - yes, it is. Another good one is 'Roma' - it has flowers of a definite pink colour that last for ages and ages

That's good to know. Thanks! Andrew.
