Berberis temolaica (close-up) - 2015

This berberis has to be grafted, and is rather a gawky shrub. The flowering season is short (typically no more than three weeks), but it has gained a reputation as a connoisseur's plant. It took me three attempts to get one going - the first died, the graft failed on the second, then success!
