3d - I have never seen butterflies on it, only flies. It is a shrub growing to about six feet or more. Supposedly not the hardiest, I first saw it in an exposed garden in Northamptonshire, and it's being growing happily for me since 2001 - even the bad winter a few years ago had no effect on it.
