This is quite a small flowered Camellia, a sasanqua variety, which should have been open more before Xmas.

Pam nice,well suited to cornwall I fear i would be lucky to see any flowers that were not scorched brown with frost and wind.

We have had frost & very cold winds here Brian, but dosen't seemed to have touched them.
Yes they are evergreen Irridum and this one should flower in the Autumn. This was only £9.99 from the Duchy of Cornwall nursery (don't know if I'm allowed to say this).
