Aji Brazilian Red Pumpkin
Very beautiful and rare, this Brazilian origin pepper produces bright red, ridged fruits with a very hot flavor. Sturdy plants are heavy producers of the 1" fruits that resemble mini-pumpkins. Fruits ripen from green to orange-red then red and in fruit. Local name pimento de cheiro.

History: This accession was collected at a market in Feira de Santana, Bahia and donated by Perdue University. Received at NPGS 1978 and assigned a PI # 1980.
