Sunny position, well-drained soil. Cut back to new shoots in spring (but not too early in case of late frosts)

DD - it's just about given up (old age I think). I plan to plant some more caryopteris next spring.

They do get rather woody.....but such gorgeous plants so many colours, easy to take cuttings so OH says!!
