Coronilla valentina subsp glauca var citrina - 2015 (Coronilla valentina)

Like a breath of fresh air so late in the season.

I agree Andrew, such a lovely small shrub, mine is flowering at the moment too. I'd like to give mine a light prune next spring but don't want to lose it. Have you ever pruned yours?

Yes, in spring when it has stopped flowering, it gets cut back very hard to within a couple of leaves of the old wood. I've found it needs this, otherwise it soon gets impossibly leggy and woody.

Thank you for your reply Andrew, I'll follow your advice in spring.

Ours quickly outgrew it's allowed space, it is now a cutting waiting to mature, before we find a suitable space.....just looked at a variegated one on the right of my screen, should only grow to a couple of feet,if only!!
