Daphne tangutica - 2014

Sun-loving shrub, growing to three feet. Avoid very dry or very wet soils. This shrub looks tatty for about two weeks right at the start of the season, but then pulls itself together. The flowers are scented. Daphnes have a reputation of not being long-lived, but my bush is 15 years old now.

Yes, have this for about 25 years, still at 60cms x 100 cms wide and flowers every year without fail. Never moved though so don't know how successful that might be.

I will certainly not be moving ours then, it has taken some time to get established....

Beautiful shrubs, we are growing the variegated one, thought it had died but found it had survived underneath an osteospurnum.
