These have done incredibly well. They were seedlings from a friend's garden, planted last July. The tallest is five feet high with nine flower spikes!

That's an interesting mix. Mine are planted on an old veg bed full of years of garden compost and have loved it.

Red and brown make surprisingly good bedfellows and the two plants seem to thrive on similar conditions (fairly dry and sunny).
