Fern (Dryopteris filix-mas (Male fern))

Lovely lush green fern, loving the fronds unfurling, architecture in nature. Planted close to the little fish pond and ornamental grasses.

One of the loveliest sights of spring. Ahead of mine.

Thanks Karen, my tree ferns are a little bit behind, but I can see them waking up. :)

You have tree ferns Kate? How lovely! They wouldn’t do well here and I’m not sure They would ‘fit’ either, but Zi love to see them. They are beautiful plants.

Thanks Amy, I do too! It’s so nice to them opening up. Really architectural!

Hi Karen, yep, got two tree ferns. I’ll post a picture when they’re a little more open. Fronds have started to unfurl. My older one has a couple of fronds out now.
Think I’ve been lucky with them.
