Beech Bonsai finished

Beech Bonsai finished (Fagus sylvatica)

The Moss makes a good finish, but of course it needs a season's growth and shaping before really being finished.

Never seen a beech bonsai before - very clever and effective.

I've got a willow, an Oak and a Sycamore that I'm trying as Bonsai, all two year old. They have done well all year and I will take them out there little dishes and trim there roots in the new year.

I have another oak seedling that is one year old that I will dig up and try something similar to your beach.

Yes, wonderful. I'll have to try my hand at this. I just love the outcome.

remember that the moss has a 'sponge effect' in helping to retain moisture which helps the bonsai.

Sorry to say that it failed to survive. Can't wim em all. I was foolish to keep it outside it should have been sheltered in a moist atmosphere until new growth appeared in the spring.
