Fatsias keep dying

Plants look good for initially. Leaves grow downward then die. I have replaced the plant. Spray for fungus bugs etc no luck. I move some plants to the other side of the house and was able to nurse them back to health. Cannot figure out why they Will not live in the shade on this side of the house

Are the roots going under that paving as I know trees can die if their roots are paved over or have you thought of changing the soil. I would cut back to a healthy part and change the soil they like rich soil
