Got home this afternoon to find the first flowers of the year opening up on my Gloriosa superba.

Oh, no, Meanie! I'm growing Gloriosa first time. And was very upset when I got the information that this plant should be purchased with a shoot, but not a bulb as I've done. Watering, being outside and high temperatures made their best! In two month! My patience has won! :) It's 20 inches now. I know it's very small yet, but hope for any flowering...:)

Always buy them as tubers (bulb) Uma - they're easy to get to shoot, only requiring heat, and so much cheaper!
