Hydrangea scandens subsp chinensis - 2014

Shrub for moist soil in sun or part shade, eventually reaching five feet. I first saw this shrub in a garden in northern France, and tracked down a UK supplier five years ago. This year is the first time it has flowered like I originally saw it - either it takes time to settle in, or it needs a wet winter! The flowers are exactly the same colour as the cornus kousa behind it - I would like to say that was planned, but I would be lying.
