is it a skunk-like aroma, Andrew?.. or carrion? some flowers with the foetidisima name smell rather nice. I have a weakness for iris.. a name doesn't put me off. It is very attractive.

Childhood experiences sometimes have a effect too. Growing up, there were certain foods that I didn't actively dislike, but I had no great love for either. But we had them on a such a regular basis "because your father likes it" that I now can't stand them. Roast beef is one of them
