I came home yesterday to find this on the ground after finally blooming in the morning so immediately got the stakes out. It seems we get strong wind or heavy rain as soon as my irises start blooming. That's part of the challenge I know!

I had a nice big patch once, with over 20 stems coming up and slugs ate thru all but one. Challenge??? There was murder in my heart that morning!!! GRRRRRRRRR
