Iris reticulata 'Blue Note'

Stunning photo of a stunning plant. I had a pot of these in the display on Saturday and was very flattered to be asked which one it was by someone who knows his iris. I did not take any photos at the show but Stan de Prato was busy recording as much as possible. I have not had time to check if he has uploaded them to the SRGC site yet. We had a speaker from Gothenburg Botanics who gave us two excellent talks one in the morning and another in the afternoon. Visitors over from Germany were having a great time at the trade stands where they were able to speak directly to the nurserymen and ask questions. As usual the food on offer was excellent value for money and I won a bottle of wine in the raffle. Altogether a great success for both the SRGC and the Dunblane group who host the event but most of all for the folks who came along to support the event. Apart from the food and raffle both of which are optional there is no charge for visitors who can enjoy a show of early flowering bulbs, plants, trees and shrubs and enjoy world class talks by people they would never have heard of, but who are very willing to answer questions put from the floor. I was able to pick my questioners' brain about the correct way to plant bulbs for display.

For a change,I've actually caught the true colour of the plant.I look at the SRGC show photos waiting to see some of your plants.

I agree the colour has come out exactly right. Sorry I do not think you will see mine very clearly as they were at the far end of a photo showing the extent of the iris on display. I will post photos later if I can get to the greenhouse and back in one piece. There is a howling gale and very heavy rain showers. The trade stands show the huge effort made by the nurseries to give us beautiful plants. The prices are not always exorbitant either.
