Did you grow the Cosmos yourself - the combination is stunning! I've introduced some purple in the beds with my orange flowers - they are quite difficult to mix with some colours.
I have introduced quite a lot of Leucanthemums into the perennial borders they are near to very large decidious trees and in the evening it felt quite dark and threatening. The white has just lifted it and the daisies don't seem to mind some shade.

There's a story about 'those' Cosmos - I grew them from a packet of seeds called 'Red Cosmos' with a definitely red picture. Then I planted them out all over the place where red would be fine - what a shock when they opened ORANGE! You are so right about being difficult to mix...now if they'd been in my purple/gold/white borders I'd have been very happy!
