Compact mahonia growing to three feet. Poor thing - I planted it in February but it forgot to flower in the spring so it's doing it now!

Yes, different supplies claim different flowering times for it! It will be interesting to see what it does in future years.

I looked this one up Andrew as I haven't seen it before and on one supplier's website (Jacksons) it says it flowers in summer/autumn! Its a lovely plant whether its flowering at the right time or not and I bet the bees are pleased to see it.
