Melianthus.....

Melianthus..... (Melianthus major)

The Melianthus has not been cut back by frost this year (so far!!) and because it was getting so tall, we used the Paulownia trunk, which OH had just cut down as a garden stake, imagine my surprise when I noticed the Paulownia has started to shoot.....watch this space!

You have to keep the top growth through the winter to get the flowers. This is the first time in 14 winters this has happened.
