Tree paeony growing to six feet for a position in sun or part shade, sheltered from cold winds. The flowers hang down and are partly hidden by the foliage, also the leaves are not shed at the end of the season but hang on despite being dead and need to be carefully cut off in early spring. But as Kelways say, "Think of it as a supreme foliage plant with the flowers as an added bonus."
This was planted in the autumn of 2012; it is now four feet high and covered in flower buds.
