Salvia uliginosa - close-up

Salvia uliginosa - close-up (Salvia uliginosa)

A great plant if you can give it a warm enough spot. I attempted to divide it one autumn - WRONG! Leave it till the spring.
Needs a moist soil in full sun but resents winter wet. Reaches six feet and needs support

Hi Andrew. I visited Northcourt Gardens open garden on 29th Sept and I think I came across some salvias there. I have been trying to find this plant on the tinterweb, but can't seem to.
Please can you tell me if the seedheads on a salvia curl up when you touch them and then release the seeds? I collected a few of these curl up seedheads and I have the seeds, but i don't know what the plant is, could it be salvia??
