Mine does, too. Or else SOMETHING scratches it up and leaves it in bits on the path - I suspect the dreaded pigeons again,,,I have one left in my Alpine trough - I think - I haven't checked on it this week....I am not buying any more. I have changed to Aubrieta, Iberis and Alyssum as they do well for me. (and the pigeons leave them alone)

Are you sure it's pigeons spritz, coz we get thousands of them and never had the problem with saxifraga, and whatever it is digging it up you know that if you stick the bits in the grown and water, often they will root and produce another plant!
