Me also, very popular with our visitors too....

I spotted some stripy ones at Hampton Court - people were buying them, too. I didn't, because the price for a few stems was exorbitant, when you can buy bulbs and grow your own much more cheaply.

You mean you actually pick them?????
15 Jul, 2013
yes dont you???? I have several clumps and I take a stem or two from each clump. I grew them specifically for cutting.

No, I only ever pick sweetpeas...I like to see my flowers in the garden. Odd, aren't I! ;-)

try one sprig with the sweet peas, go one you wont miss one stem and the blue is so clear. I have them in a vase with red and white s.peas

Lost all mine over the winter?? First time ever, but I suspect the squirrels may be to blame as in their place I have hazelnuts springing up like mad!

How annoying. At least they're not very expensive to replace.
Do you know anyone who wants a hazel hedge? You could pot 'em up and sell them! :-D)

"Do you know anyone who wants a hazel hedge? "
Forest more like - they're everywhere! The nearest hazel is two gardens down..............

We used to have the same problem with squirrels when we lived in Kent, with huge oak trees in the garden. I was always pulling up little baby oak trees! I sympathise.
