So did I - last year - with my summer flowers. When I took them all out to plant the bulbs etc, I potted up the Uncinia, but it hasn't really done anything - it just looks tatty. However, I found a seeding in the gravel and potted it up. It has grown so well over the winter that I decided it was time it decorated the garden instead of the coldframe!

I have some of this in a pot, it is a fantastic colourful little plant.
