Andrew do you think it will kill the conifer eventually,Mine killed the large Viburnum Sterile it grew over and through strangled it, and of course shut out the light.

Bjs - yes, it's next door's conifer. Every winter, when the leaves are off, I cut through a couple of major branches of the wisterias growing into the tree to keep it in balance. These are about twenty years old now; the conifer was already mature when I moved here in 1984
