finally i managed to get two trees planted in the orchard today the weather was glorious.
only another 9 to go.
we planted a crab apple[golden hornet] and a pixie apple,the ground was so hard and more like clay than soil,so the muck went in, the clay soil went back, gave it a good watering then made the mesh cage so the ‘lovely’ rabbits can give it a chance to grow.
one of my daughters joined hubby and me,she managed to water the trees for me and then played with her dog mable.{a rescue lurcher,who rolled in poo left by the bulls we had in the field….NICE..}so much for “i will help you mum”.
need to get the radox out i can hardly move tonight im that stiff.
well thats what happens when the winter is too long and we get a lovely spring day, we all think we are ‘wonder woman’or superman and go for it hammer and tong.
i think ive even caught the sun,my face is abit red.

know what you mean PM about getting help lol sometimes its more of a hindrance than help ,i find that with daughter she comes to help and brings 9yr old son 9 month old baby, grandsons all over with football and daughter stops every 5 mins to feed change or play with baby im left tearing my hair out ..i love them all though..you had some hard work there good luck with the other 9 :o))

Well done with the planting,how lovely having an orchard,all that fruit to look forward to :)
I know just how you feel though,I was out today and really had to remind myself to slow down.I was only tidying up,snipping back this and that. I felt like a bee darting from one plant to another lol. Now my lower back is quite stiff-oh well that's it till next weekend anyway,should recover by then :))
