Lilies

I lifted my lilies last Autumn and replanted them about 6 weeks ago. I left the old stems on so that I knew where I had put them. There is no sign of growth. Was I wrong to have left on the old stem?

No, the old stems just come off really easily. I leave mine on for the same reason, until I see the new shoots appearing. I think you need to be patient, maybe, depending on the temperatures you have had. Watch for new growth and don't try digging them up to check! Hope they appear soon.
