Why is my Salixa Integra and Salixia Capera loosing its leaves

They are both situated in a well protected courtyard but just a fortnight ago they have both started to show signs of dying their leaves have turned brown and brittle is there a reason for this and how do I treat them . I live in West sussex. I do not have photo's of them

Yes soon as I read the name Salix I thought it could be water, they are tough & even if the leaves fall new ones should sprout Id spray the stems in the late evening as well as watering.

Water? It's been very, very dry and windy here in the South. Check the rootballs to see if they're in drought.
