I can't find any reference in a quick Internet search for a variety called 'Amy'. How you grow it would depend to some extent on whether it is an opium poppy, Iceland poppy, Californian poppy etc. Is there any chance you have a more precise name for the variety, or who the original seed supplier was?
Otherwise, treat it like any other poppy by sowing straight away very shallowly in a large pot with moist compost (add some sand or vermiculite for drainage.) Keep in the light but don't put in direct sunshine or allow it to get too hot. Cover with a sheet of cling film or plastic but remove immediately there is germination. Most poppies should germinate within 14 days.
