Anyone have suggestions about a safety rail for steps?

The steps down to my little 'Mum's Garden' are very steep and rather precarious . Safety officer son says we should have a rail which is obligatory in public places. Roy has put in a temporary wooden support but I would prefer something a little more decorative. Searched 'Garden Centre' on GoY but no success. Each step tread is deeper than the length from my knee to my foot so I have to launch myself down.
Any suggestions or examples of existing rails etc., gratefully received.
I fancy a bespoke wrought iron little contrivance. Can just imagine the comfort of the feel under my hand. Whoops!
