Recently purchased 3 dear little seedlings and in two weeks they have doubled in growth size.I had them in the south facing back garden but I am putting them in the North facing front garden near the wall, I have been assured they will thrive. Can I place them together approx 2 feet apart?

Hi,Grevillea Robusta as far as I know,is an Australian tree, known as a Silky oak and has orange bottlebrush flowers when mature.

I have seen a G. robusta (Silk Oak) in Melbourne botanic gardens standing about 60ft tall. As said above though, in the UK it is just too tender and is used as a "spot" bedding plant or as a conservatory plant (with some pruning involved!).

Grows from seed to 12inches in less than a year. It is, though, only a bedding plant, being frost tender, or else you can put it in a greenhouse or bring it indoors for the winter. Won't tolerate temperatures below 5 degrees C.
