Has anyone ever grown MOSLA dianthera?
As you know we are in a very cold part of the very West Midlands/East Wales and many things which grow easily elsewhere die of cold here (Dahlias for example), so we were wondering if the plant would survive.

The Nursery where we saw it says it is definitely perennial and from Russia. BUT, they seems to think it was more suited to a Mediterranean climate than its provenance would suggest. Hot and dry rather than cold and dry which is what we are.
It is a lovely looking plant though.

Well that does surprise me, I know that Russia can get some high temperatures in summer, but it gets awfully cold in winter!!!!! Derek.

« Can anyone identify this tree seen on the street in Cahors France
I must admit I had never heard of this plant, so I used google, some sites say it,s an annual growing to about a foot tall, others a perennial over a metre.
A nursery selling it says it was collected in russia, so I would presume from that, it would mean it isn,t too bothered by cold, but may not like wet & cold, sorry I can,t be of more help, Derek.
